What do I refer to in my title Fatal Error? Would an android cause a mistake based on what it 'sees'? Or would a human in their desire to comfort another? When there is an accidental death by an innocent person, in most cases, no charges are filed.
A robot can only do what it is programmed if it is coded the three Asimov Laws of Robotics: A robot should not harm a human being, A robot must obey a human unless it conflicts with the first law, and a robot must protect its existence unless this act conflicts with the first two laws. What if the robot cannot determine what a human's intent or actions mean? We gesture erratically all the time. All the machine can do is watch and record until the information is downloaded for a specific reason.
In Fatal Error, I bring together my characters from Earth and Mars to solve this delicate question before another murder is committed to cover the fatal error.
