My friends and I ventured into Algodonas again for the fourth time this winter season and this time I was determined to figure out the streets. First we walked by the purple pharmacy buildings. Inside My friend Josey and her husband Eric bought their medicine and I purchased chocolate liqueur candies. From there we walked to the four-way crossroad and made a right hand turn. Most of the shops are closed by this time in April, but I wanted to get another of my old dish painted. The woman artist did excellent work on my last two dishes. Eric walked ahead of us women as we came to the end of the block and turned left. Next we walked down an alley way that still had some vendors. Here was the famous 'Mine' that sold jewelry and passed out free Macadamian Crème liqueur. But the store was closed today. We then turned left and I realized that I was lost again in this maze of streets when we finally came upon the shop we were seeking. How disappointing, her shop was open but she was gone on another painting job and the clerk said the artist would not be back until this afternoon. So taking my old plate we strolled on to the Paradis courtyard to have our free meal and drinks. There we met up with two more women friends as Eric found us all a table. Sometimes he is accused of having many wives when the four of us trail behind him.
These are my book club prompts. We are timed 10 minutes to write from a sentence or a word and make a story from the prompt.
