Just then a whirling rocket on fire blasted off toward their shuttle.
Son-Fi grabbed the controls and banked left allowing the missile to miss their right wing.
“We have to get out of here,” Ben cried, “No time to waste.”
“We’ll take you back to your ship.”
“No, uh, there is someone else you have to meet.”
“Another Chief? I don’t think that’s wise,” Son-Fi replied
“Yes, I mean no, it’s— Look out!” yelled Ben.
Another missile made an attempt but by now, the ahmans were too high above the yellowish clouds that were beginning to cover the land. Giving more boost, Son-Fi headed for the Mi-Reeia.
“I didn’t realize Ray-Nar would turn on us like this.”
Ben was put on a spot. “That one didn’t. I need to take you to my lord, Amado.
By now, LiDel was shaken up as one would be after being fired upon. “I thought Ray-Nar was your leader of the land.”
“Well, he is of his one hundred square elims. Here is the coordinates of where we must go.” Ben insisted handing over to the Second officer a scrap of paper with numbers inscribed upon it.
Looking at the paper, “But this is on the other side of the planet. We don’t know what your game is, but first we are going to have a talk with our Captain.”©A. Nation 2015
