Suddenly over by Nanki’s right side a commotion had begun near the boarding ramp of the ship Gamidar. A little one of the phirmian species was crying. Soon other domees began to surround the unhappy little one with taunts and jeers.
The scared phirmian became hysterical and began wailing even louder. Only one adult was present, but couldn’t navigate through the crowd. The supervisor could only watch in shock as some of the larger domees started pushing the little phirmian around.
Without thinking, Nanki dropped the small case, broke out of line, and ran through the taller domees. The domee’s petite size was able to skim through the taller ones’ legs until the crying one was reached. Nanki, remembering how to Contain, quickly held the phirmian snuggly and shouted to the others, “Go away, do I have to call an officer to Contain you?” Some of those taunting started to back away as this threat could be real with the larger ahdoolians nearby. Nanki held the distraught domee and exclaimed toward the other little ones,
“You are not alone. We are all in this together. We have to help each other or we won’t survive. Go, there is no usefulness for you here. You need to board now!”

I love to read murder mysteries, so I had to ask myself, "Why not write about one." My next ebook will involve a native American police detective 300 years from now trying to solve three murders that have the appearance of not being related, but they are. Since my first book takes place on Mars, this officer finds himself tracking down the perpetrator. He will meet up with one of the juvenile aliens that accidently took a ride from Mars to the Moon. Has Earth been visited by non-earthlings before?
Something for everyone. Not done soon, so be sure to read Similar But Not the Same to understand the next sequel:
I am working on making Similar But Not the Same into a paperback proof. All I can say is that Word is the pits. After six hours all today trying to get my page numbers to behave, they are finally acceptable.
Downloading has been done four times now, correcting the gutter margin (inside the center of the book) and embedding the font Createspace doesn't have.
In the meantime, I am now working on a murder/political intrigue sequel.
