I was getting frustrated because I couldn't figure out how to get my 2010 Word program to speak from my document text until I googled it. On the upper right where the undo arrow is, just to the right of that is a little down arrow. That opens a panel called Customize Access Tool Bar. Choose More Commands and scroll down until you see Speak. Add that to the right section. Now highlight with your cursor on your document and turn up your volume.
